Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has officially been crowned the 2024–2025 Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot winner following a remarkable campaign with Galatasaray.

The 26-year-old striker scored 26 goals in the league, leading Galatasaray to yet another title. His tally placed him five goals ahead of Krzysztof Piatek and six ahead of Youssef En-Nesyri, solidifying his status as the league’s most lethal finisher this season.

Osimhen’s outstanding goal-scoring form has now etched his name into the history books, making him one of the few players to claim the Golden Boot in two of Europe’s top five leagues.

He previously topped the scoring charts in Serie A during the 2022–2023 season, where he played a pivotal role in Napoli’s first Scudetto triumph in 33 years.

In addition to his individual accolade, Osimhen played a vital role in Galatasaray’s domestic double, concluding his loan spell with a 2–0 victory over Basaksehir FK in the season finale.

His commanding performances, passion, and charisma on the pitch quickly endeared him to Galatasaray supporters, making him a fan favourite in Istanbul.

With the season wrapped up, speculation is now mounting about the striker’s future. Although his loan deal has expired, there is growing optimism that he may remain with the Turkish giants.

Osimhen’s older brother, Patrick, fueled the speculation after the final match, telling Turkish pundit Agir: “I think he will stay here.” When pressed if he was serious, he added, “He loves it here.”

Galatasaray are reportedly keen to secure a permanent deal, though Osimhen is currently expected to return to his parent club, Napoli, pending further negotiations and interest from other European sides.
