Primo: Ex-Kwara United coach, Ganiyu Mustapha is dead
The Kwara United Football Club has commiserated with the family of late Coach Ganiyu Mustapha on the demise of the former football star who died early on Monday.
Popularly known as Primo, the News Agency of Nigeria reports he has been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
Brimo became famous when he played for the defunct Benue Cement Company’s Lions FC of Gboko and Kwara United Football Club.
He also served in the technical department of Kwara United until his demise.
The highly disciplined late Coach succumbed to a protracted illness, which rendered him incapacitated for a while.
In a message by Kwara United’s Media Officer, Jimoh Bashir, on Monday, the Executive Chairman of the club, Kumbi Titiloye, prayed Allah to grant him Aljannat Firdaus and give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Titiloye said late Brimo was an experienced and intelligent player and coach, who was always ready to serve and contribute his experience to the development of the round leather game in the state.
He also described the deceased as a disciplined and respected personality, whose attitude is worthy of emulation, especially to upcoming players and coaches.
