Distinguished Senator Abba Moro commends the Benue State Government over proposed renovation and reconstruction of the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo.

The Deputy Governor, H.E., Engr. Benson Abuonu, Tuesday led a delegation to the palace to inform HRH, Agabaidu Elias Ikoyi Obekpa, that the State Government had concluded plans to commence the renovation and reconstruction of the palace to a modern status befitting his position as the paramount ruler of the Idoma nation.

Recall that Senator Moro, who was moved by the sorry state of the palace, had earlier commenced works on part of the palace. He, however, welcomes the news and is greatly impressed by the move by the state government to give the monarch’s abode a new look.

The Comrade-Senator believes in teamwork and collective efforts of all and sundry to bring development to the land as no-one’s singular effort is enough.

He enjoins the Deputy Governor to continue to use his highly-exalted position to attract developmental projects to Benue South and ensure the take-off and completion of the proposed renovation and reconstruction of the Och’Idoma Palace.

On his part, the Senator says he will continue with his own efforts in the palace as that will lessen the load on the state government.
