Super Eagles drop to 31 in latest FIFA rankings
In the most recent FIFA World Rankings, Nigeria’s Super Eagles dropped two spots to emerge as the 32nd country overall seeing the three-time African champions drop from being third in Africa and 30th in the world according to the most recent FIFA rankings.
Nigeria lost 2-1 to Algeria during the most recent international break in September, which understandably has had an impact on Nigeria’s standing.
The latest ranking means that the current top three nations in the continent are African champions Senegal, Morocco, and Tunisia, with Algeria coming in fifth behind Nigeria.
Overall, the top 10 remained the same, with Brazil still in first place. France, England and Belgium follow before Argentina, Italy, Denmark, Spain, the Netherlands and Portugal round up the top ten nations.
