Transfer: Al Nassr open talks to sign Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen

Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr has reportedly begun negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Nigerian striker Victor Boniface as a replacement for Anderson Talisca, who is set to join Fenerbahce.
Al Nassr is aiming to strengthen their attack, which already includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed via his X account that the club has initiated formal talks to secure the 24-year-old Boniface, hoping to beat Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United to his signature.
Romano wrote, “Al Nassr has started official talks for Victor Boniface as a new striker! Negotiations are underway with Bayer Leverkusen to bring in the Nigerian forward to replace Talisca.
The other candidate is Jhon Durán, but Aston Villa still insists on keeping him.”
Boniface recently extended his contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2026, making him one of the club’s highest earners. However, the Bundesliga side is reportedly open to selling the striker for a fee of at least €50 million.
After being named Bundesliga Rookie of the Season for 2023/24, Boniface impressed with 21 goals in his debut campaign, contributing to Leverkusen’s league and cup double.
Despite injury struggles this season, he has already scored six Bundesliga goals.
