UCL: Man Utd, Arsenal, Real Madrid to know opponents as group stage draw approaches

The excitement is palpable among football enthusiasts as the draw for the group stage of the highly anticipated 2023/2024 Champions League is set to take place on Thursday, August 31. The event will unfold at the elegant Grimaldi Forum in Monaco and is scheduled to commence at 5pm West African Time (WAT).

Prominent clubs from around Europe, including powerhouses such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan, are among the elite contenders poised to vie for glory in UEFA’s premier tournament.

The Champions League group stage will encompass a total of 32 teams, each embarking on a journey to secure their place in football history. These teams will be categorized into four pots of eight for the draw, adding an element of suspense as the groups take shape.

Spain boasts an impressive five representatives in the tournament, while England, Germany, and Italy each contribute four teams, underlining their strong presence on the continental stage.
