Legal expert Olalekan Ojo, representing Nigerian artist Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has stated that Naira Marley and Samson Balogun, also known as Sam Larry, cannot be convicted for the death of their former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, stage-named Mohbad, based on allegations of bullying.

In an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Ojo firmly stated that there is no concrete evidence to support claims that Naira Marley bullied Mohbad. He added that a thorough examination would reveal no incident where Naira Marley bullied the deceased artist.

The controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death began after he passed away on September 12, prompting a police investigation. The Lagos police exhumed Mohbad’s remains and conducted an autopsy, the results of which are pending.

Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Idowu Owohunwa, previously stated that Naira Marley and Sam Larry were implicated in bullying and assaulting Mohbad during his lifetime. However, Ojo emphasized that there is no solid evidence to support these accusations.

Ojo further defended Sam Larry, stating that a video circulating online purportedly showing an attack on Mohbad during a music video shoot does not accurately represent the true events of the incident.
