Call our attention, don’t just criticise — Wike tells nigerians
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has urged Nigerians to draw the government’s attention to issues they believe are not properly addressed, rather than limiting themselves to criticism.
Wike made the appeal on Monday during his monthly media briefing in Abuja.
He stressed that government officials are human and cannot have knowledge of everything, adding that citizens have a role to play in improving governance through constructive input.
According to him, Nigerians should go beyond criticism and offer practical suggestions that can help government perform better.
“You can call our attention. Make your own suggestions to the government. The government does not know everything. I’m human,” Wike said.
“It’s not by coming out to criticize and fault what the government is doing. Nobody has called my attention. What good citizens should do is to call the attention of the government,” he added.
