‘You have no choice’ – Fubara tells Nigerians to vote Tinubu for second term in 2027
Siminalayi Fubara has called on Nigerians to unite in support of Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing the need for collective effort to sustain ongoing reforms.
Speaking on Thursday in Port Harcourt while declaring open a meeting of the Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council, the Rivers State governor urged citizens to rally behind the President for a second term, noting that continuity would enable the full implementation of key policies under the administration.
Fubara, who recently defected to the All Progressives Congress, described Tinubu as a committed and patriotic leader, expressing confidence in his ability to further stabilise the country and drive development.
He pointed to what he described as notable achievements recorded by the administration over the past three years, adding that more progress could be realised if the current policies are sustained beyond 2027.
According to him, despite existing challenges in some parts of the country, there is growing confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda and its focus on economic transformation, national security, and balanced development.
The meeting brought together traditional rulers from the South-South, South-East, and South-West regions to deliberate on the role of traditional institutions in fostering unity, peace, and socio-economic development across Southern Nigeria.
