Some youths have started relocating from Owukpa, following the mysterious deaths of young people in the area, IDOMA VOICE can authoritatively report.

Recall that over 70 persons have died recently following the outbreak of a strange disease suspected to Yellow Fever.

The deceased, mostly youths have died in a mysterious way while others are still in hospital.

The latest victim was the Face of Idoma and Benue State Polytechnic student, James Okoh.

Following the strange occurrences, some youths have decided to leave the village “until the government and our elders find a lasting solution to these strange happenings,” a resident of Aho Ogbor, Joe, told our reporter.

Another resident of Ankpa, Tony, said he would be relocating to Gboko for now.

“I am leaving this town for Gboko right away. I am the only child of my parents. I came back home to write my SSCE and I decided to rest a bit after my exams but with this development, I need to leave.”

Also speaking, Raph, a native of Odobe, said the development needs serious and urgent divine intervention “because it is not ordinary. How will yellow fever just be killing young people? I think we need prayer in our land.”

Also, the Sport Director of Owukpa, Emmanuel Agbo, has called on the Senior Pastor of Dunamis Church, Dr. Paul Enenche to take the community to the Lord in prayers.

“Dr. Enenche should cry to God on our behalf. His mother’s land is under serious attack. Our youths are dying and we are helpless,” Agbo, popularly known as Osita said.
