Governors elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have shown that they are in-charge in their various states as they or their candidates won the governorship tickets of the party.

A host of those who fought for the tickets with the governors withdrew before the contests or lost out eventually, IDOMA VOICE reports.

Notable politicians who pulled out of the race before the primaries include former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Enugu; Senate Minority Whip, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe in Abia; Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi in Delta and Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu also in Abia.
