Three killed as gunmen attack Edo community

Unknown gunmen have reportedly killed three persons, one of whom was a dedicated member of a local vigilante group. The incident occurred in Ekiadolor community situated in Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo State. Another person sustained injuries during the attack.

The deceased vigilante member, identified as Jude Aikhionbare, was returning from his night duty when unidentified gunmen suddenly opened fire on him near the market square in Ekiadolor community.

The other victims were named as Felix Ighodaro and Aza Mani, both minibus drivers working in the area.

The State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, has verified the occurrence of this tragic incident.
