Tow truck driver crushed to death in Ogun State

Fatal incident occur on the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode Road as a tow truck driver lost his life in a road crash, while four others sustained injuries on Saturday. The incident occurred around Ajede Junction, Ogun State, at approximately 11:40 a.m.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the crash involved three men and three women. Unfortunately, the tow truck driver died, and four individuals sustained injuries. The FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpe, confirmed the details, revealing that a Toyota Sienna with the license plate FKJ551FE collided with a tow truck marked BDG733GH.
The tow truck driver had parked the vehicle on the road’s shoulder, and the impact of the crash led to his tragic death.
“The suspected cause of the crash was excessive speed, which led to the loss of control, and the Sienna car collided with the towing vehicle parked on the hard shoulder of the road, killing the driver of the towing vehicle,” Okpe explained.
The FRSC, police, and other responders conducted a rescue operation. The FRSC’s state command urged motorists to adhere to traffic rules and consider other road users.
