Ghanaian actor, Vincent McCauley dies after surgery in South Africa

On Monday, January 15, 2024, the esteemed Ghanaian actor, Vincent McCauley, breathed his last following a surgical procedure for a brain tumor in South Africa.

His family, conveying the solemn news in a statement on Friday, expressed gratitude for his “glorious magnificent transition” into the embrace of God Almighty.

The statement read, “With a thankful heart, we announce the ushering of our son, brother, uncle, and friend, Vincent E McCauley, Jr. (now of blessed memory) into the presence of God Almighty on Monday, January 15, 2024, after undergoing surgery in South Africa for a brain tumor.

“His transition was a glorious and magnificent one, marked by the great privilege of witnessing and encountering Heaven.

“Vincent, an administrator at Soul Clinic International School, was not only a dedicated actor with roles in numerous films and TV productions but also celebrated for his portrayal of ‘Max’ in the popular series ‘Things We Do For Love.’

“At Perfect Peace, Vincent now rests in Eternity. His departure leaves a significant void, and he will be deeply missed.

“The family extends gratitude for the time spent with Vincent, a gem and a gift straight from God, greatly loved and cherished. However, God loves him most perfectly. We sincerely thank all those who genuinely cared and loved him too.”

Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari, reacting to the news on her social media account, shared, “This news is such a hard pill for me to swallow. 💔 I met Vincent on the set of ‘Who Owns the City’ about 14 years ago. He was so radiant, a breath of fresh air, and always very bubbly. I’ll always remember the way his eyes sparkled whenever he mentioned my name and the way he laughed at my senseless jokes on set. Rest in peace, Vinny, and good luck with your mission in the other world.”

Vincent McCauley gained prominence for his role as Max in the popular TV show ‘Things We Do For Love.’ He is survived by his wife, with whom he exchanged vows in 2017. McCauley made significant contributions to various movie projects, including notable titles such as ‘You Only Live Once’ (YOLO), ‘Games People Play,’ ‘Fortune Island,’ ‘Office Palava,’ ‘Living With Trisha: House of Secrets,’ and ‘The Idiot and I.’
