In a related matter, the Kano State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has arrested 31-year-old Salisu Bala for engaging in extortion and posing as a police officer.

According to SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, spokesperson for the Kano Police Command, Bala was apprehended while impersonating a police officer in Kurna Quarters, within the Kano metropolis.

He was tracked down by members of the Police Special Constabulary in Koki Quarters, where he was seen wearing a black uniform and a camouflage peak cap.

Reports indicate that Bala defrauded unsuspecting citizens, damaging the reputation of the police force in the process.
