Natasha Akpoti vows to expose Senate controversies under Akpabio on live TV

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, has hinted at explosive revelations about recent developments in the Nigerian Senate under the leadership of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
In a post on 𝕏 (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, she admitted that although she had long kept silent on internal Senate matters, the time has come to break her silence.
IDOMA VOICE reports that her announcement follows a heated clash with Akpabio over a recent seating rearrangement in the Senate. During that exchange, Akpoti-Uduaghan accused the Senate President of deliberately sidelining her contributions. She also revealed that an undisclosed group has filed a petition against her—a matter she intends to address publicly.
Expressing her willingness to discuss the issue in detail, the senator invited media outlets to set a date for an in-depth televised interview.
“Good morning, fellow Nigerians. This petition was brought to my notice a few hours ago. In as much as I have refrained from publicly speaking on matters and a lot of occurrences at the Senate under Senate President Akpabio, it’s about time I break my silence. @ARISEtv set a date, and I shall be in your studio in person. Spare no questions,” she wrote. She urged Nigerians to watch the live probe, insisting that the forthcoming weeks will be pivotal in shaping the standard and quality of Nigeria’s leadership.
The clash between Akpoti-Uduaghan and Akpabio stems from the controversial decision to rearrange her seating in the Senate chamber—a move which Akpabio defended as his prerogative.
The dispute intensified when the Senate President ordered the Sergeant-at-Arms to remove her from the chamber, an act that has since drawn significant public and political scrutiny.
