The name Roselande Belony has surged through social media like wildfire — igniting speculation, confusion, and commentary across platforms from Twitter to Telegram. Touted by some as the daughter of a prominent pastor, her story has become a digital storm fed by rumor and misinformation.

However, emerging details have set the record straight: Roselande is not the daughter of a pastor, nor is she from Ivory Coast, Kenya, or Tanzania as widely claimed. In truth, Roselande Belony is a Haitian media personality, singer, and former radio host, celebrated for her work with Radio Télé Pacific, where she hosted educational programs and occasionally led worship at her local church.

Her father, Serge Belony, has spoken publicly to debunk the rumors. In an exclusive interview with Blocus on Storm TV, he declared, “I am not a pastor. I’m a driver and mechanic. I haven’t been to church in over a decade.”

He also addressed and dismissed the viral claim that the videos were leaked by a jilted fiancé who was denied intimacy. According to him, the man featured in the explicit clips was Roselande’s official boyfriend  a relationship known to the family and church members. The couple, however, parted ways about eight months ago under pressure from the church, which disapproved of the boyfriend’s appearance, including braided hair and piercings.

The true cause of the leak, according to Serge Belony, was far more alarming. He revealed that Roselande was robbed at gunpoint by a man posing as a motorcycle taxi rider while returning from a hospital visit. During the robbery, her phone was stolen, its security disabled, and the videos later surfaced online. There are suggestions that the perpetrator may have attempted to demand a ransom before leaking the footage.

The scandal’s fallout was immediate. The videos spread rapidly across Telegram, Twitter, and other platforms, prompting Roselande’s resignation from Radio Télé Pacific. The incident has sparked intense conversations across various African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Public opinion is sharply divided. While some online users have harshly criticized her, others have rallied behind Roselande, calling out the invasion of privacy and cyberbullying. One user wrote, “This story is both heartbreaking and enraging. She’s a victim, not a villain.”

Despite the humiliation and personal cost, Roselande has remained resilient. She continues to post encouraging messages and expressions of gratitude to supporters on her social media platforms.

Still, she faces the difficult reality of a digital world that never forgets. Her private moments have been exposed to the public, dissected, judged, and immortalized online, leaving scars that only time and grace may heal.
