Gov Sule names eight commissioner nominees in Nasarawa
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has forwarded the names of eight commissioner nominees to the State House of Assembly for confirmation.
The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, announced the nominees while reading the governor’s letter during Wednesday’s plenary in Lafia.
According to the Speaker, the nominees are Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo (Wamba Local Government Area), Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed (Lafia Local Government Area), Mohammed Baba Shehu (Keffi Local Government Area), Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye (Obi Local Government Area), Adamu Rabecca Kpadji (Wamba Local Government Area), Nawani Aboki (Doma Local Government Area), Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA (Nasarawa Local Government Area), and Ashefo Daniel Paul (Lafia Local Government Area).
Jatau directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae ahead of their screening.
He added that the nominees are expected to appear before the Assembly for screening on Friday, August 7, 2026.
