President Tinubu arrives Ibadan for Olubadan coronation
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday made his way to Ibadan, Oyo State capital, for the coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
The Presidential aircraft landed at the Ibadan Airport around 1:35 p.m., where the President was received by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, senior government functionaries, traditional rulers, and members of the Olubadan-in-Council.
Upon arrival, President Tinubu joined a convoy to the iconic Mapo Hall, the official venue of the ceremony, which had already drawn a massive crowd of residents, political figures, and dignitaries eager to witness the historic installation.
Senator Rashidi Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, emerged as the new Olubadan following the passing of his predecessor, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on July 7, 2025.
