Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan returns as Senate resumes plenary
Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, on Tuesday returned to the Senate as plenary resumed after a 10-week recess.
The upper legislative chamber had adjourned on July 24, 2025, for its annual break and was initially scheduled to reconvene on September 23, 2025.
Daily Post reports that Tuesday’s session was presided over by Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, in the absence of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Natasha’s return comes six months after her suspension from the red chamber. Her presence drew attention as lawmakers resumed full legislative activities following the long break.
Also, some senators were seen wearing Palestinian-themed outfits in solidarity with the people of Palestine, calling for an end to the ongoing conflict.
