An Abuja-based Lawyer and Public Interest Personality, Edward Ejembi Omaga has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, on his resounding re-election as Governor of Anambra State.

In a statement personally signed by him, Barr. Omaga described Governor Soludo’s victory as “a well-deserved affirmation of visionary leadership, administrative excellence and the people’s unflinching confidence in his Renewed Anambra Agenda.”

He noted that Prof. Soludo’s re-election on Saturday, November 8, 2025 is a triumph for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He also said that the re-election is a validation of good governance, economic innovation, and the enduring belief that leadership rooted in integrity and competence will always resonate with the people.

According to the official results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Soludo of APGA polled a total of 422,664 votes, while his closest rivals from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Young Progressives Party (YPP) scored 99,445 and 37,753 votes respectively.

Barr. Omaga noted that the wide margin recorded by APGA over its closest contenders is a clear demonstration of the overwhelming confidence reposed in Prof. Soludo’s leadership by the people of Anambra State. He observed that the outcome of the election marks a major turning point in Nigeria’s political culture, where “the electorates now place emphasis on the person, capacity, and track record of candidates rather than mere party affiliation. The people of Anambra have spoken loudly through the ballot that competence, integrity, and performance matter most in leadership.”

He further asserted that the victory once again affirms the divine nature of power, adding that “indeed, power belongs to God, and He alone decides whom to give per time—even as we approach the 2027 General Elections.”

Barr. Omaga commended APGA’s leadership, members, and supporters for their unity and steadfast commitment to the party’s timeless ideals of “onye aghana nwanne ya” (be your brother’s keeper). He also urged all stakeholders and Ndi Anambra to rally behind Governor Soludo as he consolidates on the gains of his first term for the continued development of the State.

He prayed for God’s continued wisdom, strength and protection upon the Governor as he leads Anambra State to greater heights of progress, peace and prosperity.
