Senate Minority Leader and Senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Senator Abba Moro, PhD, has said that human beings have no control over the timing of life or death, stressing that only God determines when a person is born or called home.

Senator Moro made the remark during the burial ceremony of late Pa Christopher Abah at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Epaegbo Otukpa, in Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.

Speaking at the event, the lawmaker noted that the deceased lived a fulfilled life and positively impacted many people before his passing, unlike others who die at very tender ages, even before birth.

A visibly emotional Senator Moro described the late Abah as a father figure to him and urged the children of the deceased to uphold their father’s values and preserve his legacy.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Prof. Abah described Senator Moro as his father’s “political son” and expressed gratitude to him for personally attending the burial to commiserate with the family.

In a related engagement, Senator Moro also attended the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Victoria and Emmanuel held at the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, in Okpokwu Local Government Area. He advised the newly married couple to love one another and build their home on the foundation of God.

The senator was accompanied by several political leaders and associates, including Hon. Edor Ogbole, former Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly; Hon. Solomon Onah, former General Manager of BENSESA; Hon. Frank Igbe; Hon. James Uloko, Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, North Central Development Commission (NCDC); Comrade Austin Ochiga; Hon. Alice Albert, Benue State PDP Women Leader; Hon. Regina Lawani, Zone C Zonal Women Leader of the PDP; and Hon. Gabriel Olofu, Benue State House of Assembly hopeful for Ugboju/Adoka State Constituency, among others.
