Benue State governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress, Engineer Andrew Aba, has stressed that his ambition to become governor in 2027 is aimed at serving the entire state, not just his Idoma community.

Speaking on Idoma Television, Aba said consultations across Benue’s three senatorial districts have positioned him as a leading candidate with broad appeal.

“The Benue South Senatorial District, where I come from, has never produced a governor. But I’m not running for the Idoma people alone; I’m running to serve all the people of Benue State,” Aba said.

He outlined plans to tackle insecurity, boost agriculture, and drive industrialization and economic growth across the state.

According to him, inclusive governance will ensure that development reaches every local government, regardless of ethnic or zonal differences.

Aba further emphasized the importance of public confidence, noting that voters are seeking leadership focused on competence, innovation, and fairness.

“I want every resident of Benue to feel they belong and can contribute to our state’s progress,” he said, adding that his campaign is about delivering solutions, not ethnic favoritism.

The aspirant also expressed confidence that once he secures the ADC ticket, he will mount a strong, grassroots-driven campaign capable of challenging the incumbent administration in 2027.
