We’ll use City Boys’ Movement to unite Benue youths against insecurity – Alex Ogbe ‘Ochacho Jnr’
Former House of Representatives candidate for Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, Hon. Alex Enokela Ogbe, has pledged to use the City Boys Movement to mobilise and unite Benue youths against insecurity and other pressing challenges facing the state.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Ogbe made the declaration on Thursday in Otukpo during a high-profile reception organised by leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to formally welcome businessman and philanthropist, King Adah Mohamed Usman, popularly known as Ochacho, into the ruling party.
The event, held at Ochacho’s residence, drew key APC stakeholders, including the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Hon. Prince Maxwell Ogiri, and other party stalwarts.
Addressing party members and supporters, Ogbe disclosed that he had been appointed Benue State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Barrister Sheyi Tinubu.
According to him, the youth-focused initiative is designed to galvanise and empower young Nigerians across all 36 states, while creating a platform for active youth participation in shaping the nation’s future.
“Our goal is unity in Benue and to address pressing challenges, including insecurity,” Ogbe said.
“If young people have not been heard before, this appointment gives me the opportunity to change that. We will build grassroots structures, identify problems at the local level, and work to solve as many as possible.”
He stressed that insecurity remains a major concern in parts of Benue State, adding that young people must be actively involved in finding lasting solutions.
“Youths are capable and resilient. They are not only able to defend themselves but also to speak out for the community. Through this movement, we will give them a voice,” he added.
