A former member of the House of Representatives, Francis Ottah Agbo, has lashed out at Senate Minority Leader, Abba Patrick Moro, describing him as an “omnishambolic fiasco” who must not be reelected in the 2027 general elections.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Agbo made the remark while reacting to recent comments by Moro criticizing the administration of Governor Hyacinth Alia.

In a post on his Facebook page, Agbo urged residents of Benue South, also known as Zone C, to ignore what he described as hate speech by the senator against the governor.

“Fellow Benue South people, discard the hate speech of Senator Abba Moro against Governor Alia. The senator is an omnishambolic fiasco that must not be reelected in 2027,” Agbo said.

Agbo’s reaction followed Moro’s vow to continue campaigning against Governor Alia’s administration, which the senator accused of neglecting and marginalising Benue South.

Moro had made the declaration during a political gathering at the Upu Open Field in Ewulo, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State, where members of several political parties defected to the Peoples Democratic Party.

Addressing supporters at the event, the senator alleged that the state government had failed the people of Benue South and insisted that the governor does not have the interest of the zone at heart.

“This governor hates Zone C and I will continue to campaign against him till we vote him out,” Moro had said.

He also urged the Idoma people to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections, warning them not to repeat what he described as the mistake made in the previous election.

“If you are truly Idoma people, please do not vote for Alia in 2027. People voted for him in the last election because they thought he was a man of God, but today he has failed us in Benue State,” Moro said.

However, Agbo dismissed the senator’s claims, insisting that the people of Benue South should instead focus on leadership that promotes unity and development in the district.
