An All Progressives Congress (APC) frontline aspirant for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, Hon. Okoriko Abah, on Sunday stormed the ancient city of Katsina-Ala to attend a thanksgiving service held in honour of the member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Prince Solomon Wombo.

IDOMA VOCIE gatehred that the thanksgiving service, which took place at NKST Church, Akpanenge, in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, was organised by the Sankera Traditional Council as a gesture of appreciation for Wombo’s efforts in representing the people of Katsina-Ala, Ukum and Logo at the National Assembly.

Okoriko attended the event alongside several APC stakeholders from Benue South, including the Deputy Governor of Benue State, Sam Odeh; former Chairman of Ogbadibo Local Government Area, Sunny Ojo; Onojah Odeh; and former lawmaker and Benue South senatorial aspirant, Francis Ottah Agbo, among others.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the service, Okoriko commended Prince Wombo for his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, describing the thanksgiving service as a reflection of the appreciation the people of Sankera have for quality representation.

He said the recognition was not only a celebration of achievements but also a call for continued dedication to the service of the people.

“This gathering shows that when leaders remain connected to their people and work sincerely for their progress, the people will always stand with them.

“Prince Wombo has demonstrated commitment to the development and representation of his constituency, and this honour by the traditional council is a clear indication that his efforts are being recognised and appreciated,” Okoriko said.

He further urged political leaders across Benue State to prioritise unity and development, noting that cooperation among leaders remains key to advancing the interests of the people.

According to him, events like the thanksgiving service strengthen bonds among leaders and communities and encourage greater commitment to service and accountability.
