A House of Representatives aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency, Hon. Okoriko Abah, has declared that constituents should recall him if he fails to deliver effective representation.

Abah stated this shortly after undergoing the APC screening exercise in Abuja ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The aspirant promised to run an open and inclusive leadership style, assuring constituents that he would never arrest or detain anyone for questioning his representation or leadership.

“I feel very great and, of course, it is a great day in my life, having come this far in my political journey. I give all glory to God,” he said.

Abah said he was looking forward to emerging victorious at the party’s primary election and securing the APC ticket for the 2027 House of Representatives race.

According to him, his ambition is centred on service delivery and changing the narrative of representation in Enone.

“The truth is that we are not doing well as a people, especially in terms of representation, and this is the time to change the narrative,” he stated.

The APC aspirant pledged to ensure total inclusion if elected into the Green Chamber, stressing that nobody would be excluded from governance and representation.

He also promised to attract development projects in the areas of healthcare and education, while empowering youths through Information Technology (IT) skills and business support initiatives.

“We are going to empower our youths, particularly in IT skills, in a manner that will enable them to engage in meaningful businesses,” he added.

Abah further disclosed plans to provide loans for small and medium-scale enterprises to boost economic growth in the constituency.

On accountability, he promised to hold quarterly meetings with constituents to brief them on activities at the National Assembly and provide opportunities for feedback and questions.

“The era when leaders could not be accountable to the people is gone,” he said.

Abah alleged that in the past, constituents who questioned their representatives were arrested and sent to prison, insisting that his leadership would be different.

“If given the opportunity, I am not going to arrest anybody. I will provide a platform where everyone will have the right to ask questions about my activities at the National Assembly, and I will respond accordingly,” he stated.

The APC aspirant maintained that his mission was to serve the people of Enone effectively, insisting that constituents reserve the right to recall him if he fails to perform.

“I assure them that if I fail to deliver, they can even go ahead and recall me. But I am confident it will not get to that because I am going to deliver,” he added.
