Benue: New AIG resumes duty at Zone 4 headquarters, Makurdi
A newly appointed Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Dankombo Morris, has officially taken over as the 44th AIG overseeing Zone 4 Command in Makurdi.
Dankombo, who hails from Kaltungo Local Government Area, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Maiduguri, as well as a Master’s degree in International Relations.
He began his career in the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and has steadily risen through the ranks, earning recognition for his commitment and professionalism.
Over the years, he has occupied several strategic roles and handled key assignments, building a solid track record in policing.
In his new capacity, he will oversee operations across Benue, Nasarawa, and Plateau states under Zone 4 Command.
According to a statement issued by the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ayo Martins, the AIG urged residents of the affected states to remain law-abiding and support security agencies with credible and timely information to enhance swift action against criminal activities.
