Popular socialite and entrepreneur, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has spoken publicly after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.

The celebrity barman, who doubles as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, failed to secure the party’s ticket after polling just 14 votes in the exercise.

Following the outcome of the primary, social media users reacted heavily to his defeat, with many questioning his political influence despite his open loyalty to President Bola Tinubu and visible participation in APC-related activities.

Addressing the situation in a viral video, Cubana Chief Priest said contesting for political office was not something he regretted.

He, however, expressed disappointment over what he described as misplaced trust in certain elders within his community, claiming he had supported them significantly before the election.

“I’m a hustler, and I didn’t regret trying to contest for a position. My only regret was trusting the elders in the community.

“I know how much I gave them, but only 14 people voted for me in the primary,” he said.
