Jimoh wins APC House of Assembly ticket in Ibadan North West
Hon. Teslim Babatunde Jimoh has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ibadan North West State Constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Jimoh secured victory in the primary election conducted on Wednesday across the 11 electoral wards in the constituency.
according to report, Jimoh polled 1,218 votes to defeat his closest rival, Hon. Adams Adebayo Yusuf, who garnered 859 votes.
The exercise was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) alongside security personnel to ensure a peaceful process.
Following the conclusion of the exercise, the election results were submitted to the INEC office.
Reacting to the outcome, a party chieftain in Ibadan North West Local Government Area, Chief Adekunle Abass Akande, described the result as a true reflection of the wishes of party members.
Akande also commended the peaceful conduct of the primary and urged all aspirants and their supporters to rally behind the winner for the progress and unity of the party.
