Obi Cubana reportedly deletes City Boy Movement posts from Instagram amid backlash
Nigerian businessman and socialite Obi Cubana has reportedly removed all Instagram content linked to the City Boy Movement, in what appears to be a quiet social media cleanup.
The development comes amid growing criticism directed at him by some Nigerians over his open support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Obi Cubana had earlier been named South-East Coordinator of the pro-government political advocacy group, but he has yet to publicly address the recent changes on his page or the reactions trailing them.
The City Boy Movement is a youth-oriented civic and political mobilisation platform that supports the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu, focusing on grassroots engagement and youth participation in governance.
The group has been involved in activities such as campus outreach programmes, rallies, and distribution of relief materials and financial support to vulnerable communities across the country.
Its aim, according to organisers, is to strengthen public connection with government initiatives while encouraging young people to take part in civic and political processes.
