Kwara governor, AbdulRazaq sacks advisers, others

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has relieved all his advisers, including the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary, of their appointments as part of a minor cabinet reshuffle.

The development was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mashood Agboola.

According to the statement, the reshuffle affects all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants serving in the administration.

The statement explained that the decision was aimed at creating opportunities for more party members and injecting fresh energy into the government.

It added that the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor were also affected by the exercise.

Governor AbdulRazaq thanked the affected appointees for their dedicated service to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.

He also directed all affected officials to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
