The stage is set for the Abuja edition of the Idoma Talent Hunt (ITH), with organisers announcing a brand-new car and ₦4 million in cash prizes for outstanding contestants.

The two-day event, themed “Discovering, Developing and Celebrating Idoma Excellence,” will bring together talented young people from across Benue South (Zone C) to compete in various creative disciplines.

According to the organisers, auditions will take place on Friday from 10:00 a.m., while the live show and grand talent showcase will hold on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. in Abuja.

Registration remains open to talented sons and daughters of Idoma from Otukpo, Igede, Ufia and other communities across Benue South.

Participants are expected to showcase their abilities in music, dance, comedy, spoken word, acting, instrumental performance and other creative arts.

To encourage participation and reward excellence, the overall winner will go home with a brand-new car, while the first runner-up will receive ₦2.5 million and the second runner-up will pocket ₦1.5 million.

Organisers said the initiative is designed to discover, nurture and promote emerging talents within the Idoma nation by providing them with a platform to showcase their skills before a wider audience.

They also called on members of the public to attend the live show and support the contestants, noting that encouragement from the community could inspire the participants to achieve greater success.

The organisers expressed optimism that the Abuja edition of the talent hunt would uncover exceptional talents capable of making significant contributions to Nigeria’s entertainment and creative industries while projecting the rich cultural heritage of the Idoma people.
