Abba Moro commissions health centre in Ogodumu, speaks on Adoka dam
The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District, Abba Moro, has commissioned a primary healthcare centre constructed in
, Adoka District of Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
Moro, who is the Senate Minority Leader, commissioned the facility on Monday during a visit to the community.
Speaking at the event, the senator urged residents to take responsibility for protecting the health facility and ensure that it was not vandalised.
He said the turnout of residents at the commissioning indicated the community’s appreciation of the project, adding that the reception would encourage him to facilitate more projects across Benue South.
Moro also addressed the prolonged water scarcity in Adoka, saying a contract for the construction of the Adoka dam had been awarded. 
According to him, work on the project has yet to commence because funds have not been released by the Federal Ministry of Finance.
The senator pledged to continue attracting projects to communities in the senatorial district.
Also speaking, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, deputy governorship candidate in Benue State, Ogbenjuwa Oyije Ocheakiti, and the state chairman of the party, Ezekiel Adaji, commended the construction of the health facility.
They also expressed support for Moro’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Adaji subsequently performed the tape-cutting ceremony to formally inaugurate the facility.
Among those who attended the event were PDP Benue South Zonal Chairman, Austin Ikeke; former Deputy Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Egli Ahubi Johnson; Edor Williams Ogbole; former Otukpo council chairmen George Alli and Gabriel Olofu; former Okpokwu council chairman Amina Audu; and former Agatu council chairman Mike Inalegwu.
Others included Joseph Oche of G12 Foundation, former BENSESA Managing Director Solomon Onah, former Apa council chairman Ameh Akoche, Comfort Apeh and retired Assistant Comptroller-General William Oche.
