The semi-final lineup at the Africa Cup of Nations is taking shape with Nigeria and DR Congo securing their spots after Friday night’s fixtures.

In a tightly contested game, Nigeria triumphed over Angola with a 1-0 victory, courtesy of Ademola Lookman’s well-executed goal. The Super Eagles will now anxiously await the outcome of the South Africa versus Cape Verde quarter-final clash on Saturday.

Meanwhile, DR Congo emerged victorious against Guinea, sealing a 3-1 win. Arthur Masuaku’s direct free-kick in the 82nd minute solidified their two-goal lead. The Congolese team will face either hosts Ivory Coast or Mali in the semi-final for a chance to reach the title decider.
