News reaching IDOMA VOICE from Abuja has it that men of the Nigeria Police have reportedly sacked Peace Corps of Nigeria’s trainees from their camp in Abuja.
It was gathered that some heavily armed policemen, Sunday morning stormed the Doben Polytechnic, Bwari, Abuja camp of the organization in trucks and asked the trainees to vacate the area on the ground that they never took permission from the police authority before embarking on such training.

Speaking with our correspondent, one of the dispatched trainees said the National Commandant, Dickson Akoh while addressing the trainees wondered why would the police demand for permission from them, having successfully camped and trained several officials into the Peace Corps hitherto.
“He asked us to go home that he would come settle with the police authority within one week,” the source said.
This incident is coming barely 24 hours after the police also shutdown the orientation camp in Kwara state, claiming that it was illegal.

When contacted, the Deputy National PRO of Peace Corps, Stephen Alechenu, promised to get back to this reporter, saying, “I am very busy please,”
