‘Another Ganduje is here’ – El-Rufai under fire over plan to split Zazzau Emirate

Governor Nasir El-Rufai is currently at the receiving end of harsh criticism following his plan to split the Zazzau Emirate.

The throne became vacant following the death on Emir Idris Shehu in September.

However, reports emerged on Tuesday that the Zazzau Emirate in Kaduna State may be divided into 3 for easy administration.

Governor Nasiru Ahmad El-Rufai had on Tuesday confirmed the existence of a bill, to that effect.

The Governor on Tuesday during the presentation of the 2021 budget before the state House of Assembly, said that his administration was working on the chieftaincy and traditional council bill which will be forwarded to the House.

“Soon, the Zazzau emirate would be split into three.

‘We will have the Magaji Gari Emirate, Zazzau emirate and Kudan emirate,” a source had claimed.

However, this decision did not go down well with members of the public, who are bashing the governor for trying to alter an institution.

After reading many books, the only one Mallam found useful is the one written by Ganduje.

If this is true, then I’m highly disappointed wallahi……..

You mean the North don’t have tradition, that the Governor had to make or amend laws on how to appoint or crown a King.

What is the Native law of the traditional areas, when it comes to kingship, Can’t that tradition be respected or non exist.

I call on Kaduna House of Assembly to turn down the Amendment Bill when presented. No legislative Bill can become law once it contravenes the 1999 Constitution, existing laws/subsisting judicial determinations etc.

Oh Mallam! After taking a long time reading different books, but you finally arrived at such splitting theory that Gandollar applied it into Kano Emirate council without reading a page… So this book will be taken to Sokoto soon…

Is it that these crop of govs don’t have any reasonable things to do than to keep meddling in affairs that concerns then less of devt. that the people expects to happen. Well it can only happen in the north where direct rule worked for the British than in the south.

This will create more cost centres at a time of dwindling revenues. The money that should be used to build more schools and health centres will now be diverted to maintain the additional Emirates. Not a wise approach.

APC has only one agenda: to destroy the unity, culture, heritage and peace of Nigeria. A single Emirate was broken to 5 in Kano & now Kaduna. Watch out for Gombe, Niger, Nassarawa, Plateau & others edition.

After the long reasoning and reading many books, the only one Mallam found useful is the one written and used by Ganduje….

This is bias. If he truly want to divide the Emirate, let it be divided among those who make the 1st three of the i.e replacing Ambassador Bamalli who has zero vote and name Prince Aminu Shehu Idris who make it in to the list.
