Ace philanthropist, Adama Joseph Adama, popularly known as Otalaka, has emerged as the consensus candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming House of Representatives election in the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency.

Adama, a native of Apa, was unanimously selected as the party’s flagbearer during a stakeholders’ meeting held over the weekend.

His endorsement comes amid ongoing debate within the constituency over zoning arrangements, with calls in some quarters for the seat to be rotated to Apa, following Agatu’s eight-year tenure.

Speaking with journalists shortly after his endorsement, Adama expressed appreciation to party stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him.

He urged all members of the party to unite and intensify efforts toward ensuring victory for the PDP in the 2026 elections.

“I thank the stakeholders of our great party for this trust and confidence. I assure you that I will not take it for granted. It is now time for us to work together and ensure victory for the PDP in 2026,” he said.
