Benue South: You’ll hear from me – Onjeh tells supporters as court dismisses his appeal against Moro

The All Progressives Congress candidate in the last election in Benue South, Daniel Onjeh, has reacted to the judgement of the Court of Appeal, which threw out his appeal against the election of Senator Abba Moro of the PDP.

IDOMA VOICE reports that Onjeh had approached the Appeal Court to upturn the verdict of the tribunal, which upheld the election of Senator Moro.

However, the Appeal Court, in its judgment by a three-man panel, three out Onjeh’s appeal over his inability to prove his cases of forgery and electoral malpractices against his opponent.

Reacting via a broadcast, Onjeh thanked his supporters for their unflinching support and promised to issue an official statement in due course.

He wrote below;

Accept my apology for the seemingly belated update on the outcome of my election appeal. The long torturous struggle from pre-primary election in 2022 to the pre and post 2023 election ended today at the Court of Appeal–the final arbiter as far as National Assembly election matters is concerned. Soon, thereafter, for the first time since the journey commenced several months back, I fell into a deep sleep.

It’s very hard to say it, but my appeal was dismissed. Justice is indeed like two sides of a coin. I shall release my official statement on this issue tomorrow.

Thank you for your unflinching support and for keeping faith with my pursuit every step of the way.

Above all, I give thanks to God !

Please, do have a wonderful night rest.

Thank you 🙏🏼
