‘Boko Haram Members in security agencies are leaking information to their brothers’ – Rev Dachomo

The Regional Leader of the Church of Christ Nations (COCIN) in Plateau State, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has claimed that the integration of repentant Boko Haram members into Nigeria’s security architecture has compromised the system.

Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Monday, Dachomo linked the country’s insecurity and the alleged targeting of Christians, especially in the northern region, to what he described as a weakened and infiltrated security framework.

He said the situation had worsened due to “the absorption of the repentant Boko Haram, assisting, and they are the ones giving information. They are still with their brothers in the bush.”

Dachomo urged the Federal Government to urgently address the lingering security crisis, insisting that measures must be taken to prevent further deterioration.

“The Federal Government should do what it can do. It should never arrest anybody that kills a cow through chemicals,” he said.

“To avoid problems, we will start putting chemicals on our lands, and if their cows die, we are ready for self-defence. It’s not like before. Let me tell you, withdraw the Nigerian Army, you will see peace.”

His comments come amid heightened international attention and allegations by some foreign groups of widespread attacks on Christians in Nigeria—claims the Federal Government and several domestic stakeholders have repeatedly rejected.
