ITABONO COMMUNITY, OWUKPA DISTRICT IN OGBDIBO LOCAL GOVERNMENT, BENUE STATE COMMUNIQUE

The stakeholders of the above community at their last meeting held on Monday 14th
October, 2019 declared their stand as follows:

1. The stakeholders and the entire community congratulate his Excellency, the
executive Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom on his recent electoral
victory at the tribunal.

2. The community up holds the zoning principle into elective political positions in
the forth coming local government council election, 2019 as announced by PDP
led government of Benue State.

3. Based on the zoning formula in Ogbadibo, the forth coming local government
council chairmanship position has been zoned to ITABONO WARD I OWUKPA,
OGBADIBO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA. Therefore any aspirant or person
who is not from Itabono Ward I will not be accepted for the position.

4. As a commitment for the actualization of this opportunity, the Itabono
community will ensure that credible candidate emerge for the chairmanship
position.

5. To this end, the community and the state holders disassociate themselves from
arrangement for an anointed sole candidate for the position of chairmanship for
Ogbadibo Local Government Council.

6. The community and the stakeholders also emphasis that zoning formular which
other communities in the Ogbadibo have benefited from in the past should be
maintained for equity, fairness and harmony in the local government area. This is
because peace and harmony in Itabono community in particular and Ogbadibo in
general is sacrosanct.

7. The stakeholders, therefore, advise that nobody, no matter how crafty or
influential should try to frustrate this democratic process.

1. Ochigbo Godwin Christopher (National Chairman)
