BREAKING: Kidnapped Oyo pupils, teachers regain freedom after 50 days in captivity
The pupils and teachers abducted from Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State have regained their freedom after spending more than 50 days in captivity.
Their release was announced on Friday by the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his X handle.
“Finally, the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo, have been freed by their abductors,” Onanuga wrote.
The victims were kidnapped in May, sparking widespread concern and calls for their safe rescue.
