BREAKING: Sanwo-Olu announces 25 per cent slash in Lagos transport fare
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced a 25 percent reduction in transport fares for government-owned transport schemes. This announcement was made during his live media chat, ‘Sanwo Speaks,’ held on Thursday.
In addition to the fare reduction, Governor Sanwo-Olu revealed that civil servants from levels 1 to 14 would transition to a three-day work week. This measure aims to alleviate economic challenges faced by residents of the state.
During the media interaction, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the purpose of the forum, which is to keep residents informed about measures being implemented to alleviate economic burdens in Lagos.
While workers in the education sector will maintain their regular five-day work schedule, the governor assured that the government would provide additional transportation support for them.
