Comrade Abba Moro commiserates with Prof Tony Edoh’s family, wants him immortalised

Comrade Abba Moro, the senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue South, has commiserated with the family of the late Prof Tony Edoh, former Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Benue State University.

Prof Edoh, a professor of Political Science, passed away in August after battling undisclosed ailment.

The senatorial candidate described the deceased as “a first rate intellectual, academician who stood out for many years as one of the very best of his generation.”

Ameh Comrade Godwin, Director, Media Publicity of the Abba Moro Campaign Organisation, AMCO, quoted Comrade Moro as making this comment during a condolence visit to the late Prof Edoh’s family in Adoka, Otukpo LGA of Benue State.

Comrade Moro, who enjoys the title of Ogig’Omebe K’Idoma, on Friday joined the family of the late academician to mourn with them and the entire people of Adoka.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the family, Comrade Moro urged the family, friends, associates and colleagues of the deceased to be consoled by the knowledge that the late Prof Edoh lived a fulfilled life of patriotic service to his community, the state and the nation at large.

Comrade Moro urged his family, friends, associates and generations of students, within and outside Nigeria, to take solace in that fact that the deceased lived a fulfilled life that is worthy of emulation and he’s now resting with his maker who called him home.

He prayed God to give the widow and children of the deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Comrade Moro further called on the state government to immortalise the late Prof Edoh by naming a structure after him.
