How Lucky Aiyedatiwa won Ondo APC governorship primary

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has secured the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His victory in the primaries was announced by Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State, who chaired the Primary Election Committee.

Aiyedatiwa emerged with the highest vote count of 48,569 after a tense and controversial primary election process that lasted nearly 48 hours, beginning on April 20.

His closest rival, Mayowa Akinfolarin, trailed behind with 15,343 votes, securing the second position. Olusola Oke claimed the third spot with 14,915 votes, followed by Jimoh Ibrahim with 9,456 votes.
