How Nasarawa govt stopped Peter Obi from campaigning in Lafia stadium – CharlyBoy

Maverick singer and social crusader, Charles Oputa, otherwise known as CharlyBoy, has alleged that the Nasarawa State Government denied Labour Party access to campaign in the stadium in Lafi on Saturday.

IDOMA VOICE recalls that Obi kicked-off his 2023 presidential campaign in the “Home of Solid Minerals” with a mammoth crowd thronging the venue to welcome him.

However, CharlyBoy has claimed that the party had wanted to use the Lafia Stadium but was denied access.

The singer believes that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is threatened by the growing popularity of Peter Obi and his running mate, Datta Baba Ahmed.

He tweeted, “Labour Party was denied access to campaign in the stadium in Lafia Nasarawa so the LP had to use an open field.

“APC is threatened by the massive popularity of Peter Obi and Yusuf Datti but then nothing can stop an idea whose time has come.”
