Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Iyanya, has released a heartfelt song in honour of the victims of recent herdsmen attacks in Benue State.

The singer’s tribute comes in the wake of the massacre in Yelewata, Guma Local Government Area, where over 200 people were reportedly killed, an incident that has drawn widespread national outrage.

In the emotional performance, Iyanya expressed solidarity with the grieving people of Benue, offering prayers for divine intervention and healing. He encouraged victims and their families to keep their faith in God despite the pain and uncertainty, saying that only God can turn their sorrow into joy.

Sharing a video of the song on his official X handle, he wrote: “We are praying for the people of Benue.”

Addressing his followers in the video, Iyanya said, “I want to dedicate this song to all the people of Benue State. It’s a trying time for the entire country, because we all share your pain. I pray God comforts everyone who has lost a friend, brother, mother, father, or loved one. God will intervene.”

The tribute has been widely shared across social media, with many praising Iyanya for using his platform to spotlight the tragedy and stand with the affected communities.
