Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is intensifying his efforts to secure a new goalkeeper for his squad before the closure of the summer transfer window, which is just 11 days away.

Ten Hag has expressed interest in acquiring Odysseas Vlachodimos from Benfica.

According to the UK Mirror, although Vlachodimos is eager to make a move to Old Trafford, Manchester United might need to pay a substantial fee of £51 million.

Anticipating Dean Henderson’s departure from United before the deadline, Ten Hag aims to bring in a backup for Andre Onana.

Additionally, Tom Heaton, the third-choice goalkeeper, is currently sidelined due to injury.

In their recent league match, Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, with Onana conceding two goals
