Mbappe shines with first Real Madrid hat-trick in Valladolid rout
Kylian Mbappe netted his first hat-trick for Real Madrid as they secured a commanding 3-0 win over Real Valladolid, extending their lead at the top of La Liga to four points.
The French captain opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a curling finish from Jude Bellingham’s cross.
After halftime, he doubled Real’s lead by cutting inside on Rodrygo’s pass and firing a low shot into the bottom corner.
Mbappe completed his hat-trick in added time with a composed penalty after Mario Martin, a Real loanee, fouled Bellingham and was shown a red card.
With 15 La Liga goals this season, Mbappe trails only Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski (16) in the scoring charts.
Real Madrid capitalized on Atletico Madrid’s earlier draw, while Valladolid remains rooted to the bottom of the table.
