Omar Richards’ four-year transfer from Bayern to Forest has been officially announced by the English Premier League side.

Richards only moved to Die Roten from Reading last summer, but he has decided to go back to England after struggling to make a first team place in the Bundesliga. He made 17 appearances in all competitions last season as Bayern won their 10th Bundesliga title.

Forest has had an amazing few months, and they have high hopes for their return to the EPL. Richards expressed his excitement about returning to England and joining them especially at this moment in time. He said: “I’ve played against Forest in the past and they get such great backing from their fans, whilst the City Ground is an amazing place that I can now call home.

“I can’t wait to join up with the squad this week and begin preparations for the new season. I’m thrilled to return to England by joining Nottingham Forest at such an exciting time. The club has enjoyed and incredible last few months and there’s great ambitions for the Premier League return.”

Richards joins Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi, Moussa Niakhate, Giulian Biacone, and Dean Henderson as Forest’s fifth summer addition. The club is also convinced that it can add Neco Williams to their lineup as they prepare to make the most of the EPL.
